Towson street

Hi – I realise you are not a family history site but – my Grandfather (William (Walter) Collings was born at 136 Towson street, Everton (1899). His father was a fireman at the flour mills.

I tried the Liverpool City Online archives but they seem to be off line.

I wondered if anyone knew the sort of housing in Towson street at that time – I had thought terraced houses but I suppose it could be tenement.

I’ve seen mention of online photos of Towson Street – but not managed to find any!

Be grateful if you could point me in the right direction.

Best wishes Ann Osborne
